After a couple of RCA buddies asked me about reproducing their work I decided that it would be great to reproduce lots of RCA buddies' work... and sell it... and that's where Eighteen Thirty Seven comes in.
The Royal College of Art is the only wholly post graduate art school on the planet and it's the only one that I had ambitions to attend whilst a small child.
It was founded in 1837 (coincidentally!) and has produced an alumni that have gone on to be at the forefront of the worldwide art & design industry.
Eighteen Thirty Seven launches on 1st July and is an online store, selling quality prints by RCA graduates at affordable prices.
Here are some brilliant Mimi Leung prints flowing off the press...
Once printed, everything gets ready for their photoshoot, including the all-important Eighteen Thirty Seven plan-chest I bought off ebay!
Please check in when we launch on the 1st July and tell all your friends! Follow us on twitter and spread the word.
Images below include work by Mimi Leung, Robert Nicol, Therese Vandling, Carrie May, Katherine Hardy and yours' truly.
There are currently 1o artists on board and any interested RCA graduates should email mel@ilovemel.me for details of how to get involved.
SEE YOU ON 1ST JULY!
